Gigi Hadid may very well spend more time in the air than she does on the ground. From international fashion weeks to photoshoots and every gala in between, somehow the supermodel is everywhere at once. “Adventure to me means fresh air, the unknown, romance—with a person or a place—and freedom,” Hadid tells CR. The model, who covered CR Fashion Book Issues 4, 10, and 13, is the new face of Michael Kors’ Wonderlust, a spicy, summer scent inspired by the explorations of the jet-set. She appears in a beach-set series of images lensed by Inez and Vinoodh visualizing what the designer himself describes as “a lust for life, the wonder of experiencing something new, and the idea that anything and everything is possible.”
From walking in his runway shows to wearing a Michael Kors Collection silver and gold jumpsuit to this year’s Met Gala, Hadid has long had a close relationship with the designer, and this campaign marks another milestone for the two. “Michael has been such a great support to me over the years,” she says. “We’ve always had great chemistry, and I love his energy. Every shared minute, story, joke, laugh, and experience with Michael is not only an honor, but such a joy. I feel so lucky to know and create memories with a legend like him.”
A blend of luxurious blossoms such as Italian bergamot and jasmine grandiflorum, and spices from around the world, Wonderlust is a fresh and sweet scent that articulates the thrill of vacation into one pretty bottle. As far as the two’s own experiences, Hadid cunts skydiving in Dubai as “unlike any other adventure” while Kors says a safari in South Africa was particularly memorable. “I love the Singita Lebombo Lodge—the mix of luxury and nature was truly out of this world.”
